What is the Oxfordshire Science Festival?
The Oxfordshire Science Festival is an opportunity for organisations throughout the county to engage the public in their work through lectures, discussions, debates and interactive activities.
Who will enjoy the Oxfordshire Science Festival?

The festival offers events for young children right through to adults.

There are events for professional scientists and people with an interest in science however most events are aimed at regular people who just want to have fun and perhaps explore a topic that is important to them such as climate change, inheritance, music and sport.

What is happening in 2011?

OSF 2011 will be kicked off with a giant science filled market place in Bond Square on 26 February 2011. We invite you to come and join in the fun between 10-4pm on Saturday the 26th February 2011 at Bond Square (located opposite the Westgate shopping centre) and lend us a helping hand with the many experiments that will be taking place during the Science In Your World launch event. Not only will we have loads of hands on activities for you to get involved with but we’ll also be giving away loads of great prizes too. Come along and try to spot one of our giant molecules roaming the streets and join the debate to decide which molecule is the most important? Carbon, Caffeine, Love, Chocolate, Salt?

The launch is just the beginning of just over three weeks of fun and fascination with over 110 events scheduled across Oxfordshire and neighbouring counties. With this much going on there is surely something for everyone and the best news is that most of the events are free! Find out more information about the 2011 Oxfordshire Science Festival events.
